Holding dual citizenship but racing under a French license, Hadjar began karting in 2012 and made his single-seater debut in the 2019 French F4 Championship, winning at Spa-Francorchamps. In 2020, he finished third in French F4 with eight podiums, two poles, and three wins. He achieved his first Formula Regional victory in 2021 at Monaco from pole position, ending fifth in the championship and winning rookie honors.

After capturing three victories in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship and finishing fourth, Hadjar joined the Red Bull Junior Team. He stepped up to Formula 2 with Hitech Pulse-Eight in 2023, finishing fourteenth, before delivering an exceptional 2024 campaign, securing vice-champion with four feature race victories at Melbourne, Imola, Silverstone, and Spa-Francorchamps. He made his F1 weekend debut in FP1 at the 2023 Mexico City Grand Prix for AlphaTauri. In December 2024, Hadjar secured a full-time F1 seat with Racing Bulls for 2025, partnering Yuki Tsunoda as the final driver announced for the season following Red Bull's dramatic winter reshuffle.
