
Jack Turner (12 February 1920 - 12 September 2004): American racing driver from Seattle, Washington nicknamed 'Cactus Jack' who began racing in 1938 before serving nearly three years in the Army fighting in the South Pacific during World War II. Turner became the first two-time AAA National Midget champion when he won the 1954 and 1955 championships, remarkably winning the 1954 title on consistent high finishes despite scoring no race wins. He competed in Formula One from 1956 to 1960, participating in five races (four starts) at the Indianapolis 500 which was part of the Formula One World Championship during that era. His first race was at the 1956 Indianapolis 500 and his last was the 1960 Indianapolis 500.
He scored no world titles, poles, wins, podiums, fastest laps, or points in Formula One. He died in Renton, Washington.
