
Jacques Pollet (2 July 1922 - 16 August 1997): French racing driver from Roubaix nicknamed 'Jacky' who was Gordini's test driver and promoted to race driver in sports cars and Grand Prix after strong performances. He raced a private Simca Gordini T15 in 1952 before joining Equipe AGS for a single race at the Grand Prix des Frontières at Chimay in 1953, which led to him being taken on as a junior works driver for Gordini the following season. He participated in five Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 4 July 1954, racing with Gordini in 1954 and 1955. His highest finish was 7th at the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix, although he scored no championship points.
In sports cars that year he drove with Nano da Silva Ramos, leading the Bol d'Or race for six of the 24 hours before suspension problems forced them to slow down, though they still finished fourth overall and won the two-litre category. He won his class at Le Mans in 1954. Pollet competed in a Mercedes 300S, finishing eighth overall and fourth in class with P Flandrak at the 1956 Mille Miglia.
