Lucas Tucci di Grassi (11 August 1984 - Present): Brazilian racing driver of Italian descent from São Paulo, Brazil. Competed in Formula 1 for Virgin Racing in 2010, making 19 starts with no points scored. Educated at Santa Cruz High School and graduating with an Economics degree from Ibmec, di Grassi won the prestigious 2005 Macau Grand Prix, defeating rivals Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel, and finished runner-up in the GP2 Series. His F1 season with Virgin proved difficult with an unreliable, uncompetitive car, regularly out-qualified by teammate Timo Glock.
He was replaced by Jerome d'Ambrosio for 2011. Post-F1, di Grassi achieved remarkable success, becoming an Audi factory driver in 2012 with multiple Le Mans podiums. Most notably, he became a Formula E pioneer, winning the first-ever Formula E race (2014 Beijing ePrix) and the 2016-17 Formula E Drivers' Championship, with thirteen victories total since the series' 2014 inception.
