
Nello Pagani (October 11, 1911 - October 19, 2003): An Italian motorcycle racer and racing driver from Milan, Italy, Nello Pagani had a distinguished career in both two-wheel and four-wheel motorsports. He became the first 125cc World Champion in the inaugural 1949 campaign and was runner-up in the 500cc class the same year. Pagani also competed in car racing, winning the Pau Grand Prix in 1947 and 1948. He participated in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, the 1950 Swiss Grand Prix, driving a Maserati for Scuderia Achille Varzi, finishing seventh.
After retiring from active competition, Pagani managed the MV Agusta motorcycle racing team.
