Anthony "Tony" Settember (10 July 1926 - 8 September 2014) was an American racing driver who made a single Formula One World Championship appearance. Born in the United States, Settember competed in the 1962 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, driving a privately-entered Emeryson-Climax. He failed to qualify for the race, which marked his only attempt at Formula One competition at the World Championship level. Settember's primary racing activity was in American domestic motorsport, where he competed in sports car racing and various other categories during the 1950s and 1960s.
He raced at circuits across the United States, participating in SCCA events and regional competitions. While his Formula One attempt was unsuccessful, Settember was part of the generation of American drivers who sought to compete in Grand Prix racing during the early 1960s, when the United States Grand Prix provided one of the few opportunities for American-based drivers to enter World Championship events. The Emeryson he drove was a modest British-built car that was generally uncompetitive against the works teams of the era. After his brief Formula One venture, Settember continued racing in American events before eventually retiring from competitive motorsport.
He maintained connections to the racing community and attended various historic events in later years. Settember represented the many privateer drivers of the early Formula One era who attempted to compete against better-funded factory teams, often without success but demonstrating the accessibility of the championship to independent entrants during that period. He passed away in September 2014 at the age of 88, remembered as part of the colorful cast of characters who populated the early years of Formula One racing.
