Brabham Racing Organisation
Founded by Australian driver Jack Brabham and designer Ron Tauranac in 1960, Brabham became the first team to win a championship in a car bearing the driver's own name when Jack Brabham won in 1966. The team was a major force in F1 through the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, particularly under the ownership of Bernie Ecclestone and with designer Gordon Murray. Brabham introduced several innovations including the famous 'fan car' BT46B and early carbon fiber composite construction. The team won four Constructors' Championships with drivers including Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme, Nelson Piquet, and nearly won with Niki Lauda in 1978.
Brabham competed until 1992.
