Lotus

Team Lotus, founded by Colin Chapman in 1952, was one of the most innovative and successful teams in Formula One history. Chapman's philosophy of adding lightness and his pioneering technical innovations revolutionized the sport. Lotus introduced the monocoque chassis, ground effects aerodynamics, and active suspension to F1. The team won seven Constructors' Championships and six Drivers' Championships with legends like Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi, and Mario Andretti.

The original Team Lotus collapsed in 1994. The Lotus name returned to F1 from 2012-2015 when Renault's Enstone team was rebranded, but this was a different entity from the original Chapman team.
