Jean Lucienbonnet (born Lucien Jean Bonnet, 7 January 1923 - 19 August 1962): French racing driver from Nice who raced and rallied in various series. His name 'Lucienbonnet' is a combination of his two given names—there are suggestions of possible family interference, combining 'Lucien' with the 'Bonnet' surname to throw off suspicious parents and family, though another suggestion is that the nickname was merely a combination of Jean's two names. His single Formula One World Championship entry was the 1959 Monaco Grand Prix with his Cooper T45, but he failed to qualify. At that point he was already 36 years of age, and therefore nothing more than a gentleman racer looking to experience the thrills of a World Championship race.
Bonnet purchased the Cooper T45 (chassis F2-18-58) from André Guelfi, as the Cooper cars were particularly appealing customer cars enabling buyers to obtain a competitive car without an extensive factory effort. Tragically, he was killed in a Formula Junior race in Sicily in 1962.
