Oscar Ruben Larrauri (19 August 1954 - Present): Argentine racing driver from Granadero Baigorria who competed in Formula 1 at age 34. Before F1, Larrauri competed in Argentine Formula 3 Championship from 1979-1981 and won the European Formula 3 Championship. He spent many years with Brun Motorsport in sports car racing, competing in the World Sportscar Championship, IMSA GT Championship, Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft, and All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. He participated in 21 Formula 1 grands prix, all with EuroBrun, debuting at the 1988 Brazilian Grand Prix alongside 1987 F3000 champion Stefano Modena.
His F1 career proved unsuccessful, scoring no championship points and qualifying only 8 times out of 21 attempts. His best finish was 13th in Mexico with his only other finish being 16th in Germany. Without a drive at the start of 1989, Larrauri entered only the final five grands prix of the season with EuroBrun but failed to pre-qualify on each occasion, ending his brief Formula One career. After F1, he returned to Argentina for the first time in 10 years and achieved greater success, becoming Super American Touring champion in 1997, 1998, and 2000 with BMW 320i and Alfa Romeo 156, establishing himself as a champion in his home country.
