Race Summary

Max Verstappen extended his winning streak to six consecutive victories with a commanding performance at the Canadian Grand Prix, controlling the race from pole position despite multiple Safety Car interruptions at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Dutchman's relentless march toward the championship continued with another dominant display in Montreal.

The race was punctuated by several incidents that brought out the Safety Car, including crashes and off-track excursions on the tricky Montreal circuit with its unforgiving walls. Fernando Alonso delivered another strong drive to finish second for Aston Martin, while Lewis Hamilton completed the podium in third for Mercedes, continuing the Silver Arrows' improved form. Sergio Perez set the fastest lap but could only manage fifth place behind George Russell, further extending Verstappen's championship advantage.

The victory marked Verstappen's 41st career win and tied Sebastian Vettel's 2013 record of six consecutive victories to start a season. The Red Bull RB19 continued to prove unbeatable across all conditions and circuit types, from high-speed tracks to street circuits and now the unique stop-start nature of Montreal. With just under half the season completed, Verstappen's championship lead had grown to an insurmountable 69 points over teammate Perez, making the title race a formality barring a dramatic turnaround.
