Midland F1 Racing
Midland F1 Racing competed for just one season in 2006 after Russian-Canadian businessman Alex Shnaider purchased Jordan Grand Prix. The team featured a distinctive red and yellow livery and represented the first Russian involvement in F1. Midland struggled throughout 2006, failing to score any points. The team's best result was Tiago Monteiro's eighth place at the United States Grand Prix. Financial difficulties and the departure of key personnel made the season challenging.
At the end of 2006, Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker purchased the team. Midland's single season marked a transitional period for the former Jordan team.
