Prost Grand Prix
Prost Grand Prix was created when four-time World Champion Alain Prost purchased the Ligier team in 1997. Despite Prost's legendary status as a driver, the team struggled financially and competitively throughout its existence. Operating from 1997-2001, Prost GP never achieved a victory, with their best result being three podium finishes. The team suffered from inadequate funding and unreliable Peugeot engines.
After accumulating significant debts, Prost GP collapsed at the end of 2001. The team's failure demonstrated that even a legendary driver's involvement isn't enough to guarantee success in Formula One without proper financial backing and technical resources.
