Justin Boyd Wilson (31 July 1978 - 24 August 2015): British racing driver from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who competed in Formula One in 2003 for Minardi and Jaguar. After winning the inaugural 1998 Formula Palmer Audi championship and becoming the first British driver to win the 2001 International Formula 3000 Championship with Nordic Racing, he became the first racing driver listed on the London Stock Exchange when an investment scheme allowed the public to purchase shares in him from 5 March to 31 May 2003. He drove for Minardi before Jaguar selected him to replace underperforming Antônio Pizzonia for the remainder of the season before the German Grand Prix. Wilson finished eighth at the United States Grand Prix and twentieth in the drivers' standings with one point.
Jaguar dropped him for 2004 as owner Ford was unprepared to pour unlimited funds into F1 and advised signing a pay driver. He moved to Champ Car World Series (2004-2007) and IndyCar Series (2008-2015), co-winning the 2012 24 Hours of Daytona for Michael Shank Racing. Tragically, on 23 August 2015 at Pocono Raceway, Wilson was struck in the head by debris from Sage Karam's crashed car, was airlifted to hospital in a coma, and died the following day, 24 August 2015.
