
Karun Chandhok (19 January 1984 - Present): Indian racing driver and broadcaster from Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India, son of multiple-time Indian rallying champion and FMSCI president Vicky Chandhok. Competed in Formula 1 for Hispania Racing (2010) and Team Lotus (2011), making 11 starts with no points scored, becoming the second Indian F1 driver after Narain Karthikeyan. After becoming the 2000 Indian National Racing Champion, 2001 Formula 2000 Asia champion (youngest-ever Asian Formula Champion), and 2006 Formula Asia V6 by Renault champion, Chandhok made his F1 debut with the newly formed HRT in 2010, securing the team's first classified result with 14th in Australia. He started ten races before being replaced mid-season by Sakon Yamamoto.
In 2011, he joined Team Lotus as reserve driver, racing once at the German Grand Prix. Post-F1, Chandhok competed in Formula E for Mahindra, the FIA GT Series, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Since 2019, he has been a member of Sky Sports F1's live coverage team and serves on the Board of Directors of Motorsport UK since 2021.
