John Henry Estlin Augustin Prichard, later Riseley-Prichard (17 January 1924 - 8 July 1993): British insurance broker and racing driver from Hereford who started racing in 1952. After getting a taste for motorsport in a road-going Riley, he bought a second-hand Connaught Type A from the Rob Walker Racing Team. Using this vehicle he participated in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix—the British Grand Prix on 17 July 1954—from which he spun out, scoring no championship points. Beyond his single World Championship appearance he competed in a number of non-Championship Formula One and Formula Libre races, including a victory in the 1954 I Cornwall MRC Formula 1 Race.
He won in it in the F1 class at a Prescott hillclimb and an F1 race at Crystal Palace and went on to finish third in a Davidstow Libre race and at Castle Combe's Joe Fry Memorial Trophy race. Riseley-Prichard shared an Aston Martin in the infamous 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans race with Tony Brooks, but after the trauma of this event retired from race driving. Later in the same year he let Brooks take the wheel of his Connaught, giving the future Vanwall and Ferrari star his first big break. His racing career was relatively brief and modest, primarily consisting of national and club events between 1951 and 1955, before retiring after the traumatic 1955 Le Mans disaster.
He died in Thailand.
