Honda Racing F1 Team
Honda has competed in Formula One as both a constructor and engine supplier across multiple eras. As a constructor, Honda's first stint from 1964-1968 saw limited success. They returned by purchasing BAR in 2006, creating the Honda Racing F1 Team. Despite significant investment, Honda struggled competitively, with Jenson Button's victory at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix being their only win. The global financial crisis led Honda to withdraw from F1 at the end of 2008.
The team was saved by Ross Brawn, becoming Brawn GP and winning both championships in 2009 with cars developed by Honda. Honda returned as an engine supplier with McLaren (2015-2017) and has since powered Red Bull to championship success.
