Manor Racing MRT
Manor Racing was the successor to Marussia F1, returning to the grid in 2015 after missing most of 2014 due to financial administration. Under new ownership, Manor continued as a backmarker team operating with minimal resources. The team gave opportunities to young drivers including Pascal Wehrlein and Esteban Ocon, and provided a surprise by occasionally challenging the more established teams in 2016. Despite improvement and scoring their first point in Austria 2016 with Wehrlein, Manor failed to secure funding for 2017 and folded before the season.
Manor's demise marked the end of an era for small privateer teams in modern Formula One.
